I originally did this linoleum for a collection of prints to make a book, but after that I decided to make a short edition of this design. The sacred heart is an important symbol in Mexican culture cause it represents part of the Mexican folklore, and catholicism which is the most predominant religion in Mexico. For me is the perfect symbol to represent that mix between new and old traditions in Mexico.
